NACADA

The National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) is an association of professional advisors, counselors, faculty, administrators, and students working to enhance the educational development of students.

NACADA Region IV

Serving all NACADA members through the facilitation of networking opportunities, leadership opportunities, and professional development activities, our ten regions are governed by elected officers who propose activities to support academic advisors, faculty advisors and advising administrators within their geographic regions. Region members conduct annual conferences, state and province or area drive-ins, promote NACADA membership and develop programs which fit the needs of their specific region. The Southeast Region 4 consists of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean.

NACADA Events

NACADA offers conferences, institutes, web events and seminars throughout the year and in many locations, to provide quality professional development opportunities for advisors, faculty advisors, administrators and students who are invested in helping higher education students achieve academic success.

NACADA Emerging Leaders Program

Each year, 10 Emerging Leaders and 10 Mentors are selected for the two-year program in which the Leaders and Mentors work closely on connecting the Leaders to the areas of the association they are interested in and in developing a plan for continued involvement and growth in the association.

Academic Advising Today: Voices of the Global Community

Academic Advising Today is the quarterly electronic publication (e-zine) of NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising.  It exists to provide a venue for sharing of advising experiences and discussion of ideas related to the theory and practice of academic advising in higher education.
